“We, the Church pastors, kept warning Westerners who pretended to have the right to interfere in Syria in the name of democracy, that fomenting violence would surely lead to terrible sectarian war because of the complex religious and ethnic diversity in Syria. We knew innocent people, primarily Christians and minorities, would suffer most.” –Patriarch of the Syriac Church who warned of the consequences, addressing Western nations, i.e. ‘America and her allies’!
“The world became a mess and if people think that humanitarians can clean up the mess, they are wrong,” said the U.N.’s High Commissioner for Refugees, Antonio Guterres. “We no longer have the capacity to pick up the pieces, more and more people are suffering and more and more of the people that are suffering have no chance to get protection or support because we no longer have the resources to do so.”
Christian Foundations ‘Shaken to the Core’: Patriarch Ignatius ‘Middle East’
Christian Foundations are ‘Shaken to the Core’ in many areas of the world. The flood of refugee’s out of the Middle East due to persecution continues. As we have covered this ongoing persecution in Libya, Iraq, and in Syria; many areas are devoid of a Christian presence. The Patriarch of the Syrian Church of Antioch recently said in Toronto that ’40 percent of all Christians’ living in Iraq, addressing the time period two years ago; faced expulsion. This is approximately 150,000 people according to Patriarch Ignatius Younan.
With the push of ISIS beginning in 2014 through Syria and into Iraq the world saw for the first time in modern history what Islamic jihad really means and it came with the wrath of ISIS. The world witnessed the slaughter of many people, crucifixions, killing of men and boys, while women and girls were raped or sold in sex slave auctions. Yet, nothing was done to stop it. These things went on even as the US and the coalition bombed the jihadists. Now add up the total of Christians that were forced out of Iraq during the US invasion and the aftermath thereof and you will find a considerable number. The numbers of people displaced in the Middle East and worldwide total in the millions today; many from the same trouble that is in Libya, Syria, and Iraq. According to the UN figures, ‘one in every 122 people in the world are now refugee’s outside of their country of origin.’
Nearly 60 million people worldwide were forcibly displaced at the end of 2014, representing the highest number of people ever recorded that have been driven to leave their homes. A report released by the United Nations Thursday found the sharpest ever one-year raise in refugees between 2013-2014. UNHRA Report
In Iraq, multiple thousands of Christians fled northward to the Kurdish region. The Kurds took in multitudes of people. But soon the Kurds found they needed to help other groups, this time from Syria as that area became a death trap for many. Yazidis, Christians, and minority Muslims, plus anyone else who disagreed with ISIS theology were fleeing the group. The World watched the situation along with America who did little to stop it. In the end, America and the world was drug into the Middle East crisis that the Western nations led by America created. Below find a quote by an eyewitness to the crisis in the Kurdish areas of Northern Iraq. Kassab was one person who went to help out there and speaks of the situation.
“They arrived,” Kassab would note, “with nothing on their backs and the Kurds came to the rescue.” Traveling to the region to assist with resettlement efforts, Kassab observed a Kurdish government willing despite inadequate resources to help the fleeing Christians. The Kurds went to the U.S. government, which they believed was partly responsible for the refugee crisis, to ask for help. “This fell on deaf ears,” Kassab recalls. From How the Iraq war became a war on Christians
The Patriarch charged that the “very survival of Christians in the cradle of Christianity is quite in danger”.
“We, the Church pastors, kept warning Westerners who pretended to have the right to interfere in Syria in the name of democracy, that fomenting violence would surely lead to terrible sectarian war because of the complex religious and ethnic diversity in Syria. We knew innocent people, primarily Christians and minorities, would suffer most.”-Patriarch Ignatius [IBID]
Christian Foundations ‘Shaken to the Core’: America and Middle East
It has been the policy of the Obama administration to arm what they deem to be ‘less radical’ Islamic fighters so they can fight. The American administration then uses these fighters to do the work of the fighting while securing American policies in the region. There is no doubt America policies and that of other Western nations fueled the crisis we now see and have seen in the Middle East and elsewhere. What is more, putting weapons in the hands of Islamic fighters can turn against us, which it did. American weapons made their way into the hands of Taliban in Afghanistan who later turned against America. American weapons and military vehicles made their way into the hands of ISIS when the Iraqi army fled from Mosul. American weapons arming Jihadists who we thought were friendly backfired as they went to ISIS and fought along side.
Indeed as we covered the onslaught of ISIS, for instance; places like Mosul became a veritable desolation for those who were Christian. The Christians left and have never returned. Some stayed, but not many. This is just one of many places around the globe where Christians are in danger.
“We have to understand that totalitarianism based on Islamic creed is the worst among all systems of government. Yes, my friends, the very survival of Christians in the cradle of Christianity is quite in danger.” – Patriarch Ignatius Joseph III Younan, Syriac Church of Antioch
Christian Foundations ‘Shaken to the Core’: Nigeria
We find the same threat in Nigeria where the current Muslim President Muhammadu Buhari has not been up to the task stopping Islamic radicals there. International Christian Concern reports:
The failure of Nigeria’s Muslim President Muhammadu Buhari to tackle the Islamist fanatics of Boko Haram has resulted in an estimated 50,000 children facing death by starvation, according to Western aid officials.
A total of 500,000 people have been made homeless during Nigeria’s bitter seven-year conflict with Boko Haram, and aid workers now fear the vast majority of them are in urgent need of food, shelter and medical care.
Christian Foundations ‘Shaken to the Core’: Iran, Pakistan
In addition in Iran, according to statements by Saeed Abedini, who is thankful to be home in America from imprisonment in Iran says ‘that there are still many Christians in a Iranian prison’. Iran, he says; ‘executes 100 people every Wednesday’. Abedini went on to say he was ‘concerned about the worsening human rights conditions in Iran”.
“I’m very grateful about my release and freedom, but there are some people still left behind and Christians who are still in prison,” he said. “Two days ago some of my friends… have been executed because of their faith. Every Wednesday they execute 100 people.” From Saeed Abedini Fox business
In Pakistan where 95% of the people are Muslim and only 2.3 percent of Christians living there face death daily. The anti-Christ spirit is alive there and is moving to extinguish the light of Christianity permanently. The government does little to stop it. Using the Blasphemy laws, radical Muslims charge Christians of the egregious crime of blaspheming their god or their religion. As a result we have seen many convicted and facing death sentences. That is for the ones who manage to survive. We have covered a young boy, who was asked if he was Christian. To which he said yes, a group of radical Muslims through him in a brick kiln to be burned alive. A young couple was accused of blasphemy and both were murdered by the radicals and also thrown into the kiln. As one Christian who now lives in Thailand says:
“We miss Pakistan but we were forced to leave the country because every person is ready to accuse us of blasphemy,” said Javed, who has been granted refugee status. “There is no respect for Christians and we are without self-esteem. Because of discrimination at every level, we cannot progress in Pakistan.” Christians Fleeing Pakistan
Christian Foundations ‘Shaken to the Core’: American Christians and the Church
In America it is hard for Christians and the Churches they attend to get a grip on the level of persecution in the world. What is more, they believe it will never get to America. Well it has already arrived. It has come on the heels of Obama’s lawless decrees and his success in creating a new openness. A new sexuality, redefining what is moral and what is not moral. Simply put, America today is a brothel of immorality and hedonistic pleasure seekers who do not fear the Lord our God. They do not consider that he see’s everything they do and hears what they say. Rising up in pride, from the Gay and lesbian agenda to persecuting anyone who disagrees with them, this nation has saluted Satan and bowed the knee to Jezebel in the Churches. Money, greed, sex, immorality, and rebellion against the foundation of Christianity, Jesus Christ our Lord is the avenue of the day that runs directly through our nation. Many take this road of rebellion.
Christian Foundations ‘Shaken to the Core’: The demise of American Christianity
Since the Obama administration we have seen Christians in business face lawsuits brought by radical gay and lesbians who don’t like Christians standing on their faith. Refusing service, not wanting to bake a wedding cake for a same sex marriage will get you sued and the government after you. Same for any service run by a Christian, no standing on your faith or bible. The fact is America has swung away from our traditional Judeo Christian roots. It is an emergency to the point that took up the challenge to do something to stir Christians to action. He has been going into every state in America with his Decision America 2016 campaign. Of all the Christian voices standing up against what is happening in America, Franklin Graham has been one of the staunches opponents and voicing the clear message against the vitriol godlessness pumped out by the government and radical leftwing agenda’s against Christianity.
I’m going to every state in our country to challenge Christians to live out their faith at home, in public and at the ballot box—and I will share the Gospel. America is at a crossroads, and I believe we should take every opportunity to stand up for the things of God and His Word.” – Franklin Graham on Decision America 2016
So while the lukewarm and harlot church bows the knee to the hedonistic god in this nation, Islam continues its push throughout Europe, Canada, and many other western nations. While America and her people do not think it will happen here, time is coming when it will get here in all its fullness. Radical Islamists see this nation as a goal to be taken. At the moment many can feel safe in America. But the truth is that we are standing on one leg in a veritable hurricane of destruction that is headed right for us. But we are too busy with our things, our jobs, our money, our pleasure, our lifestyles, and the many other things that we find to occupy ourselves with. We will do anything we please, except seek the Lord.
(11) But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
(12) Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
(13) I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
(14) That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
(15) Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
(16) Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
(17) Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
(18) That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
(19) Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
