Worldwide Trouble for Christians continue in Muslim Nations: Christianity Under Attack
I get them all the time, from Wilberforce, International Christian Concern, Gatestone Institute, Clarion project, and Rescue Christians; not to forget Samaritan’s Purse and a variety of others. All of them continue to report vast Christian persecution overseas. While in America Christianity has come under attack during Pres. Obama’s terms in office. As Senator John McCain said in a Fox news Article”Christianity is under attack.”
Throughout the Middle East and North Africa today, Christianity is under attack. Terrorist organizations such as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) are destroying some of the oldest and most sacred Christian communities and relics in the world on the very lands where Christianity was born and first took root —John McCain on Foxnews
Worldwide Trouble for Christians continue in Muslim Nations: The International Religious Freedom Report
But ISIS is surely not the trouble in many areas. Evidence reported almost daily shows Pakistan, India, Egypt, Kenya, and Nigeria; not to mention Yemen and the Sudan are hotspot areas. Yes, there are many other groups like ISIS, for instance: Boko Haram, Al Shabab, Al Nusra, Taliban, among others. However we find that in some areas as the issue is the state itself and it being opposed to Christianity. In Pakistan, Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Sudan, and Yemen it is everyday Muslims who come against Christians. In India it is Hindu’s who do likewise. But suffice it to say, I did not mention many, many other areas where we find persecution against Christians, like in China where they have come against Christian Churches, crosses, and issued a crackdown. In Russia, President Putin declared it illegal to share your faith outside of a church.

The international religious freedom report for 2014 issues a very wide range of persecution and trouble. Here we find Christians extensively mentioned as victims.
“In the report’s Executive Summary, Christians are mentioned 23 times in 6 pages, and they are always cited as victims, never perpetrators, of religious persecution,” Catholic League President Bill Donohue said in a statement.
Worldwide Trouble for Christians continue in Muslim Nations: Lawful to persecute Christians
The ability of not only Christians to practice their faith depends on the laws of the nation they live in. In Pakistan we find the issue of the ‘Blasphemy law’ being used against Christians. Many times it becomes a vendetta to get at Christians used by Muslims.
In every region during the year, discriminatory laws, repressive policies, marginalization, and discriminatory application of laws had a negative impact on the ability of groups and individuals to practice their faiths.
People cannot enjoy religious freedom unless they have both the right to express their beliefs freely and change their religion without facing persecution, violence, or discrimination. The threat and enforcement of blasphemy and apostasy laws during the year had a significant impact on the ability of individuals to exercise freedoms of expression and religion and resulted in deaths and imprisonment. From the International Religious Freedom Report
We have covered many, many of these and it is always the same, the victim is accused for some crime against Islam and then if they are not beaten to death, thrown in the brick kiln alive, or taken to jail; they can face death over some lie against them. As *International Christian Concern says of this “Blasphemy allegations in Pakistan are one of the main contributing factors that make life difficult for Christians all over the country.”
These swirling allegations usually amount to nothing more than arbitrary and petty vengeful attempts to settle personal scores that radical Pakistani Muslims use to target Christians and other religious minorities against whom they may hold personal grudges. The sad reality is that when these charges become official, victims often languish in jail for years, enduring an arduous appeals process in seeking justice, which could result in their execution. *ICC from article: “Christian Sanitary Worker Beaten and Accused of Blasphemy Against Islam in Hyderabad, Pakistan” -July 2016.
Worldwide Trouble for Christians continue in Muslim Nations: Middle east
Persecution of Christians is not new, it has gone on since the beginning of the church. However, in recent memory; more Christians have been killed, persecuted, or put in jail today than any other time. The real onslaught of this all began in 2014, by the end of the year it was a full blown holocaust in Syria and Iraq. The roots of all this goes back to the Arab Spring itself. ISIS began their push through Syria and into Iraq and the rest was bloody history. It was at this time the world saw the lowdown scumbag’s who were beheading, raping, hanging, shooting, cutting off heads, and sawing children in half; this was the horror of Islam, an Islam no one has seen in recent memory. It was so bad at the time, in August of 2014 the actor John Rhys-Davies spoke out about it and was quoted in a USA Today article:
Basically, Christianity in the Middle East and in Africa is being wipe out -I mean not just ideologically but physically, and people are being enslaved and killed because they are Christians. And your country and my country are doing nothing about it! John Rhys-Davies, USA Today
Worldwide Trouble for Christians continue in Muslim Nations: Christians losing rights in America
Moreover, as we cover the extensive Persecution of Christians overseas; at home the believers in Jesus Christ are not out of the proverbial woods, so to speak. They too face ongoing lawsuits, limitations as to how they practice their faith, and all this has increased since Obama came to office. One of the many examples arises out of Obama’s push for LGBT rights. Here the owners of Sweet Cakes came into a major problem, we have the story here.
Two years after Oregon Christian bakers Melissa and Aaron Klein refused to make a lesbian wedding cake, the owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa are facing threats, heavy fines, and the loss of their constitutional rights.
In another example, and there have been lots of them. Barronelle Stutzman has a florist shop, a nice business and supports her family. Yet all was fine until she ‘declined to violate her Christian faith and provide her artistic talents for the same-sex “wedding” being planned by a longtime customer.’ Her troubles began in earnest when the Judge ruled against her.
WorldNetdaily or as we know it, WND has provided an indepth article on violations of Christians faith. While LGBT have rights, so do Christians; but in this nation Christians rights give way to others. We have no right to decide or so they say! Here is the list
Here’s a list of cases in which Christians have been accused of violating non-discrimination laws for following the dictates of their faith, “gay” advocates have refused to do business with Christians, homosexuals have retaliated for a business owner’s Christian stance, or an official’s First Amendment religious rights have been brushed aside. source WND ‘Courts conclude Faith loses to Gay Demands‘
I just couldn’t see a way clear in my heart to honor God with the talents He has given me by going against the word He has given us.” Barronelle Stutzman
I have not mentioned every country that does persecute Christians. I have many, many, of these examples Christian Persecution Blog.
We have also not spoken about the fact that there was a ‘Yazidi genocide’ when ISIS moved into Iraq. In addition, minority Muslim groups and other Muslims who did not want to become like ISIS also face death. Then there is the massive flood of refugees from the world that had to be dealt with. These people were from wars, bloodshed, and natural disasters.
It is important for you as a believer to pray for those persecuted, give money to organizations that work directly on the ground helping these believers. But also remember those displaced in the world because of so many tragedies. Indeed, this is the last days.
